The Philosophy of Neapolis Pizzeria
We make authentic Neapolitan pizzas!
Why is this important? Because real pizza is made in Naples! The origin of pizza goes back centuries, to when it was topped simply with olive oil and cheese. Since then, it has evolved in many ways. However, for the "modern" pizza we all know, we had to wait until 1889, when pizza chef Raffaele Esposito created one in honor of the visit of the Italian Queen, Margherita di Savoia. Since then, pizza has become one of the world's most well-known and beloved dishes, distinguishing Naples and Italy.

Drawing from Neapolitan traditions, we decided to bring a taste of Naples to Nyíregyháza by making pizza according to a traditional recipe; thus, Pizzeria "Neapolis" was born. Even before our founding, we set out to learn and understand how to work the dough, how to leaven it, how to select the ingredients, and to discover every secret of the "real Neapolitan pizza."
Today, we believe we have succeeded in fulfilling our mission: specifically, to bring to our guests' tables a pizza with dough that is properly hydrated, leavened for at least 24 hours (making it lighter and more digestible), topped with high-quality ingredients carefully selected from traditionally cultivated regions, and finally baked at a very high temperature (450 °C). All this allows us to delight your palate in a genuine, delicious, and light way!
